My Personal Journey
I was born and raised in Ohio, where movement was an early part of my life. As a competitive tennis player, I experienced firsthand the connection between physical tension, performance, and emotional resilience. Yoga and meditation became steady anchors during adolescence, offering space to release stress and return to center. These early practices quietly shaped my lifelong interest in mind–body-spirit healing.
Moving to Los Angeles
In 2014, I relocated to Los Angeles. By 2015, I was working in a busy outpatient physical therapy clinic, supporting individuals recovering from surgery, chronic pain, neurodegenerative conditions, and traumatic injuries. Witnessing the emotional layers of physical recovery deepened my respect for the body’s role in holding experience, and strengthened my capacity for empathetic listening and attuned presence.
Yoga Teaching & Somatic Exploration
In 2016, I completed my RYT-200 training through Yoga Mittra in Manhattan Beach. From 2016 to 2019, I taught restorative, vinyasa, slow flow, yin, and chair yoga in studios and nursing homes, including work with seniors living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Teaching across the lifespan expanded my understanding of embodied awareness and reinforced my belief that healing often begins with slowing down and listening inward.
Clinical Training & Licensure
In 2017, I began my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, with specialized study in somatic therapy, spirituality, and depth psychology. My graduate training integrated trauma-informed perspectives with approaches including Attachment Theory, Object Relations, Interpersonal Neurobiology, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gestalt.
I earned my Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #126633) registration in 2021 and completed over 3,000 supervised clinical hours across private practice, inpatient, and outpatient settings. In 2024, I became a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #150545).
In 2025, I founded SoulSync Marriage and Family, Inc., DBA SoulSync Therapy, a virtual private practice offering trauma-informed, psychosomatic psychotherapy for adolescents and adults throughout California.
Continued Professional Development
My clinical work continues to evolve. I am Polyvagal-informed and currently pursuing certification in the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). I have also completed training as a Sound Bath Practitioner, offering non-clinical crystal sound bowl sessions as a separate wellness service distinct from psychotherapy.
